LifeWorks momentous events provide you the great reward of giving back to the community while having an awesome time in the process. Your support helps provide educational opportunities, life skills training and housing for people overcoming homelessness, recovering from mental illness and living with HIV/AIDS. St. Luke's LifeWorks equips participants at 10 locations with the skills they need to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through our Life Long Learning Program.
The Holiday Gift Collection began in 1989 when a circle of friends in Fairfield County got together to collect gifts for families living with HIV/AIDS in Bridgeport, CT. During the Collection’s first year, 250 gifts were provided to 26 families. As the “circle of friends” grows, our Holiday Gift Collection will provide holiday toys and gifts to over 1,700 children affected by homelessness, HIV/AIDS and mental illness and will involve hundreds of volunteers this year. For some of these children, these are the only gifts they receive. Please help us ensure that no needy child goes without gifts and hope during the holiday season.
